The Hand Boom Spray Gun will take the place of your current spray gun or give you a different option to apply liquids. We have both a 1 GPM (Gallon Per Minute) and a 2 GPM model. I only recommend using the 2 GPM model with a skid sprayer or any sprayer capable of producing enough volume to push 2 GPM. The 2 GPM model comes naked with no inlet fitting. I did not add an inlet fitting because I have no clue what fitting is on the end of your spray hose. Both the 2 GPM model and 1 GPM model have 1/2" FNPT threads on the inlet side of the Hand Boom.
As far as the 1 GPM goes, this comes in a few different options.
"Option 1" you simply unscrew your existing Flowzone spray gun from the spray hose and screw the Hand Boom directly into the spray hose. For the Flowzone Cyclone, use pressure setting 5. For the Flowzone Typhoon use pressure setting 5.
Be aware that the Flowzone Cyclone on the pressure setting 5 produces 88 ounces in one minute even though the spray gun says 1 GPM. This is because the pressure isn't quite enough to make the spray gun work as advertised. The Flowzone Typhoon produces 1 GPM with this spray gun.
"Option 2" is made to work with any TurfWare Spreader/Sprayer. Unscrew your existing spray gun and then screw on the Hand Boom in its place. Your TurfWare has a 1/4" MNPT fitting at the end of the coiled spray hose. I have included a 1/2" MNPT x 1/4" FNPT reducer bushing that will screw right into the coiled spray hose. This option will also work with any ride-on sprayer that has a 1/4" MNPT fitting on the end of the spray hose.
"Option 3" is naked, meaning it can be used with any sprayer. You will be responsible to adapt this to your sprayer. The Hand Boom has 1/2" FNPT threads on the inlet side.
You can also use this Hand Boom to wash the siding on your house or wash your fence. You simply need the right fitting to adapt it to screw onto your garden hose. These fittings are readily available at most farm stores or big box hardware stores.
