Remember the GCI Turf 5-0-5? it consisted of nitrogen, potassium, iron, and calcium. That was a crazy popular liquid that I know longer have. The question is why do I no longer have it if it was so popular? Easy answer... to save folks money and to decrease my inventory. My other liquids are pretty popular as well, but did you know that you can take those four liquids and create your own 5-0-5? You can easily do this and I will show you how.
One of the main stipulations when I was creating the 20-0-0 N, 0-0-20 K, 0-0-0 Fe, and 1-0-1 Ca was that they be 100% compatible with each other. This means you can mix all 4 of these in one sprayer and be fine doing so. I wanted 4 products that can be used together or used independently of each other.
So how do you create a 5-0-5 using these four?

Look at the image above. The blue block represents how many square feet you are wanting to cover. The yellow boxes are the products and the rate per 1000 for each. The green blocks are the total ounces you would need for each product to cover 1000 square feet of turf. So for every 1000 square feet you need the following:
- GCI Turf 20-0-0 N - 1.4 ounces
- GCI Turf 0-0-20 K - 1.4 ounces
- GCI Turf 1-0-1 Ca - 2.5 ounces
- GCI Turf 0-0-0 Fe - 2 ounces

The image above would be for by someone using a battery powered backpack sprayer like the Flowzone. If you are calibrated to spray at 1 gallon per 1000 square feet then you can cover 4,000 square feet of turf with a 4 gallon sprayer. The blue block represents how many square feet you are wanting to cover. The yellow boxes are the products and the rate per 1000 for each. The green blocks are the total ounces you would need for each product to cover 1000 square feet of turf. So for every 4000 square feet you need the following:
- GCI Turf 20-0-0 N - 5.6 ounces
- GCI Turf 0-0-20 K - 5.6 ounces
- GCI Turf 1-0-1 Ca - 10 ounces
- GCI Turf 0-0-0 Fe - 8 ounces

The image above would be for by someone using a larger DIY spray like the GCI Turf Cart Buddy or GCI Turf Spray Buddy. This line of sprayers was created to save homeowners a lot of time. Your'e able to mix enough solution at one time to spray your entire lawn without having to refill. In this example lets use the 20 gallon Cart Buddy. If you are calibrated to spray at 1 gallon per 1000 square feet then you can cover 20,000 square feet of turf with the 20 gallon Cart Buddy sprayer. The blue block represents how many square feet you are wanting to cover. The yellow boxes are the products and the rate per 1000 for each. The green blocks are the total ounces you would need for each product to cover 1000 square feet of turf. So for 20,000 square feet you need the following:
- GCI Turf 20-0-0 N - 28 ounces
- GCI Turf 0-0-20 K - 28 ounces
- GCI Turf 1-0-1 Ca - 50 ounces
- GCI Turf 0-0-0 Fe - 40 ounces
