SpeedZone EW is labeled for use on the following established turfgrasses:

Cool-Season Grasses

  • Kentucky Bluegrass

  • Creeping & Colonial Bentgrass (not greens)

Warm-Season Grasses

  • Common & Hybrid Bermudagrass

  • Zoysiagrass

⚠️ Do NOT use on: St. Augustine, Centipede, Bahia, Carpetgrass, Seashore Paspalum, Dichondra, or lawns with desirable clover.

⏰ Best Application Timing

Ideal Seasons

  • Spring & Fall = Best overall control

  • Summer = Spot treatments only (light infestations)

Temperature Guidelines

  • Apply when daytime temps are above 50°F

  • Use lower rates above 90°F

Additional Timing Tips

  • Do not mow 1–2 days before or after spraying

  • Avoid rain or irrigation for 3–4 hours after application

  • Water lightly 24 hours before/after during dry periods

  • Wait until after 2 mowings on newly seeded lawns


🧪 Mixing Instructions

Standard Backpack / Hand Sprayer (1 Gallon)

  1. Fill tank halfway with clean water

  2. Add measured SpeedZone

  3. Finish filling with water

  4. Agitate thoroughly

  5. Maintain agitation while spraying

Liquid Fertilizer Mixing

  • Compatible with most nitrogen solutions

  • Always perform a jar test first

  • Pre-mix with 2 parts water if needed


🚜 Application Methods

SpeedZone may be applied using:

  • Backpack sprayers

  • Pump sprayers

  • Hose-end sprayers (properly calibrated)

  • Boom sprayers

Coverage

  • Use 1 gallon per 1,000 sq ft

  • Spray until leaves are evenly wet

  • Do NOT overspray or overlap


🛡️ Safety & Use Guidelines

  • Keep out of reach of children

  • Wear gloves, long sleeves, and eye protection

  • Avoid drift onto flowers, trees, and gardens

  • Keep people and pets off lawn until dry

  • Do not exceed 2 broadcast applications per year

  • Maintain 30 days between treatments
