Rates:

Apply 4lbs/1000 = 1lb N
Apply 3lbs/1000 = .75lbs N
Apply 2lbs/1000 = .50lbs N
Apply 1lbs/1000 = .25lbs N

This is what I am calling a “starter” fertilizer. Please do not get caught up in the word starter. You can use most any fertilizer to promote growth when seeding. Most companies market the word “starter” because the fertilizer has phosphorous in the blend. This is exactly how I am marketing the 25-5-5 to you is a fertilizer to use with grass seed. Can you use the 25-5-5 at other times during the year? Yes, you can use it anytime during the year on any turf type depending on your needs.
